Women · Youth · Grassroots communities
When Africa’s daughters rise, communities rise with them.
The Daughters of Africa Foundation equips women, youth, educators and community leaders with the knowledge, skills, confidence and opportunities to build resilience and drive sustainable development.
Who we are
The Daughters of Africa Foundation (DOAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women, youth and grassroots communities across Africa.
We believe lasting change grows from within communities. When a woman gains a skill, a young person finds work, or a teacher learns new methods, the benefits ripple out to families and whole neighbourhoods.
From our roots in the UK to our registration in The Gambia and initiatives across the continent, we connect local action with a global community of support.

How we respond
Amplifying the voices of African women
Through our global digital platform, we share inspiring stories of African women’s leadership: the farmers, founders, teachers, activists and changemakers shaping the continent.
Every story shared is proof of what is possible, and an invitation for the next daughter of Africa to lead.
